July!!

We had a busy July! I'll tell most of it with pictures. I took over 1100 just in July alone. I may have a problem.

July 3rd, we were honored with Robin, Batman and I don't know who the 3rd one is(I'm really bad with super heros names).. saving us from bad guys much of the day. They had fun running around in their capes and masks.

We got the big screen out and watched the lego movie. I haven't seen it, but have heard a lot of it, and there are some funny lines in it.

July 4th - Happy Birthday Dad! He had fun doing a weekend of golf. You can check out his adventures here http://touriowagolfing.blogspot.com/.

The neighbors had their annual 4th of July party. Complete with a slip n slide and sparklers.

Happy 4th of July
It was Quentins first time down a slip-n-slide. He was hesitant at first, but was hooked after the first time.

Cam didn't seem too impressed with the slip-n-slide. He hung out by the food table much of the day.

He was hoarding giant marshmallows.
Ben was a rockstar. When he wasn't sleeping, he was hanging out with us. Jeremy got him to smile for the first time.

Ben's first smile -5 weeks

After Ben and Cam were in bed, the sparkles came out. This was Quentins first experience with them, and he did great. It helped that the sticks were very long.

We headed to Brian and Shannon's house for a little grilling and fun. Lena and Quentin played Candy Land. Lena cheats, and Quentin has to win.. Needless to say, the game didn't get finished.

Quentin is so sweet with Ben!
I did the color run with a couple of my co-workers. As always it was fun and my shoes are still blue.

Annette and the boys also did it and finished before I did. They were waiting for me at the finish line.

KaVon is tall - That is all.
We celebrated Grandma Nancy's birthday on the q23rd.. I won't say how old she is.. partly because I'm not really sure.  ;)

Awhile ago, I signed dad and I up for the father/daughter golf tournament. It was a lot of fun and hopefully we'll get to do it again next year. It was my first time golfing in probably 10 or so years and I was a little rusty, but had a couple good shots. It was every other ball.. so, dad hit, then I hit his ball, etc. So, that was a little challenging.. not so much for me, but for dad. My balls didn't always go where I intended them to. I think only twice, did they go the right direction even. ha!  We golfed with Bobbie and Herb, who are both much much better golfers than I. But, there wasn't any pressure, just fun.

Sorry that tree is in your way.

How'd you find that under there?
While dad and I were golfing, Jeremy was home with all 3 kids. He did great and even managed to give himself, Q and Cam haircuts.

Jeremy and I headed down to the Italian fest - Huge thanks to my parents for watching the boys. While the fest isn't what it used to be, it's better, with the exception of the bocce ball courts. We watched the Italian dancers, ate some food and met up with some cousins.

We had a baby shower for Dianna, who is due September 10th with a boy. I'm pretty excited Ben will have a little playmate close to his age. Even better, I get to just pass all the clothes down to her and no longer store them when I'm done. Thanks to all who came. Dianna got some really nice things that she's very excited about.

This past weekend, Quentin and I had a date night Friday night. We met up with Lena and Saran at Barnes and Nobles to meet Olaf from Frozen.

Jimmy, Serra Nolan and Brody also came.

We were pretty disappointed Olaf was just a cardboard cut out. Not sure we'll make effort to attend another one of BN's things.

Afterwards, Q and I got ice cream. He originally wanted the chocolate sundae.. but decided he'd rather have my cone after he saw it.

The next morning, the whole fam headed down to the farmers market. They have mini doughnuts now.. And they were so good. It's getting to be more and more like the fair, only on a much smaller scale and no rides. Oh, and no corn dogs either. But the people watching doesn't disappoint.

I guess they do have one ride!

We met up with Stella, Carrie, Kristy and Betty at the new park at Ewing park. It's for all kids, and is handicap accessible too. It's super nice and the boys didn't want to leave.

We went to lots of Tot ball games.. Quentin played twice a week, which seemed a little intense for just Tot ball. But he loved it.

Hard to believe we had a few days in July that we needed coats for. We also should have put a leash on this kid. Cam loves being chased and knows if he goes onto the field, we're going to chase him. So, that was his goal.. every.single.game.. He was a hard one to contain. :)

Grandpa always knew the trick to
contain him for a little while anyway..
..A sucker!!

Happy Birthday Aunt Nette! Quentin loved that she and
Julian came to a game.

Ben chilled in his carseat most of the games.

Cam got to try out the bat and ball at the end of one of the games. He loved it!

Q's first medal.
Other pictures from July!

Talan Says, "cheers! This is our beer."

Quentin likes to wear his costume stuff a lot!

Quentin and I went to Target before his birthday and he pointed out stuff he wanted for his birthday.. which included pretty much the entire toy area. He thought he wanted a skateboard, until he tried it... then decided that was the only toy he didn't want. Thank god!!

Cam couldn't find Ben's finger, and kept saying it was stuck.

Quentin talked Talan into a game of Candy Land.. Talan
forfeited.. so Quentin Wins!!

He actually legitimately beat me.

Finally, we took our family picture.. it's actually been awhile since we've done it and I haven't been keeping up with it as good this year, but will do better this last half of the year.

Take 1!
I love that Quentin likes to wear his masks.

Note to self - feed Ben BEFORE picture!
