July 2017

We started the month by heading to Lake Red Rock to day camp with Dianna. They often go to Howell's station, which is a nice camp ground that doesn't have any cell service around. It's nice to just disconnect and just hang out. Frodo was a little anxious, but loved getting to come with us.

Happy Birthday, Quentin - We have officially kept a kid alive for 7 years. We started off the day with donuts and chocolate milk - 2 of Quentin's favorite things.

It took a couple days, but he finally got his Lego set put together.

He got $ from my parents and got some War Machine guy and a power ranges sword. He was very excited to buy his own toys... and it only took an hour in Target to figure out what he was going to buy.

Happy 4th of July and Happy Birthday, Dad!  Mom and Dad took a road trip to Utah over his birthday.

We headed to an old neighbors house for some food and fireworks.

Jeremy did a 50 mile bike ride for MS with some co-workers.

We and the neighbors headed to Reclaimed Rails brewery to try a black cherry beer and a passion fruit beer they had. It's very kid friendly, so we decided to bring the kids, let them eat popcorn and drink root beer. The beers were so good. We were only able to take the passion fruit home as the black cherry had sold out. Hopefully they make that one again.

We swam at Uncle Marty's pool - The kids LOVED it and so did Jeremy and I. We now want a pool of our own. haha.

I participated in corporate challenge sand volleyball. We came in 4th place - not bad with all the teams there and it was tough. It was so hot, we had to wet down the sand before every game.

The following day was another hot day for Corporate Challenge golf. This is what I considered my practice for the father/daughter golf that was later this month. We took home the gold for our division. It was a lot of fun!

Jeremy and I took in a noon game - Uncle Jerry is in town (because grandma fell and broke her neck and sprained her ankle) and since I had a couple extra tickets, him and Uncle Marty came as well. However, they only lasted a couple innings as it was so hot. Jeremy actually had to go find some shade because of the heat. We made it to the 5th inning I believe before we called it.

More swimming at Uncle Marty's house - sorry for all the pictures, I just couldn't choose.

We headed to my parents for dinner and cards before Uncle Jerry was to head home.

Father/Daughter Golf - Dad and I once again met up with Bobbie and Herb for the annual father/daughter golf tournament. Some how, we ended up winning the flight we were in, as did Bobbie and Herb.

The library had Batman and Clark Kent visiting, so we had to go see them. Ben wasn't so sure about the whole thing.

It was a nice day, so we headed to Thomas Mitchell park for a picnic and park time.

We ended the month with taking our family picture.

Other pictures from the month...

I found these at Costco - And surprisingly,
it's pretty good.

My garden is in full swing. Zucchini's for everyone!
