The only plan we had for Saturday was to walk to Panera Bread for breakfast. I really wanted a blueberry bagel and Panera has the best cream cheese. But, the looks of rain coming, caused us to drive there instead. Q loved the blueberry muffin.
The rest of Saturday we hung out at home and got a visit from both Grandmas. It was nice to have a low key day.
Wrestling with Daddy
One of my new favorite pictures
The last couple weeks, Q has been sporting this walk
Quentin is imitating Daddy's imitation of an elephant
sound.
Sunday, we headed to the I-cubs game with the Davis family. Jeremy was excited Quentin finally got to wear his cubs jersey. Of course it was super cute on him. We got our picture taken with Cubbie and all was good.
We took a beak from our seats to hang out
in the grass. Q wasn't sure what to think of it
at first, but after seeing a couple other kids
not afraid, he dug in.
Happy Fathers Day to my father and all the fathers out there (including moms that have to play that role).
Saturday morning, Quentin and I had fun walking a 5k with the Sherwood family in the Heart Association. Jeremy golfed in his company outing at Tournament Club of Iowa. It was hot and sticky to be out that morning, but we all managed and it was good to get out and get some exercise.
Q with the Sherwood's
Sunday we had a nice relaxing morning. Quentin ate a whole pancake minus what he so generously shared with Frodo. Grandma Nancy stopped by to play with Quentin for awhile, and then we headed to my parents for a little grilling. Frodo tagged along and got to play with Stanzi (Dianna and Eric's dog).

More pictures from earlier this week -
Q is getting so good with is walker.
He's almost got it figured out. The red
one is MIA, along with the red ball
from the ball popper.
I think this is the pooping face.
Jeremy was feeding Q his last bottle of the day. Q apparently
was done, and just flopped over and went to sleep.
Saturday we headed to the Davis household for dinner and disc golf. Of course the kiddo's had fun playing together too. Centennial Park is pretty much in their back yard and has a professional Disc Golf course. We didn't have the right kind of discs, but frisbee's work just as well. And, since we were at a disadvantage, we decided to double par to make it a little more attainable. We headed to the swing set before leaving. Q was exhausted and very much ready for bed, so he wasn't too thrilled about swinging. Lena was a rock star and LOVED the swings.
I finally settled on a new little camera. It's a canon power shot and so far, I have not been disappointed. I was playing with it on the way home from a graduation party Saturday and got a couple pictures of the crazy faces Q makes and some video of his laugh and orchestrating.
And now for the silly faces.
At the graduation party we got to see baby Nolan. He's getting so big.
Q apparently has a thing for wanting to touch younger babies
Earlier Saturday, Jeremy headed to golf with my dad, and Q-man and I headed to Julians first t-ball game. Of course Julian did great and dove for all the balls that came his way.
On Sunday afternoon we headed to the pool with Annette and the boys. This was Q's first time in an unheated pool. And he did pretty well. Jeremy didn't come since he's sun burnt and had enough sun for the weekend, but made the suggestion of bringing a ball to the pool. Turns out that was key for Q. He crawled all over chasing the ball.
I thought for sure Q would be zonked out after swimming, and he was all the way home. But once we got home, he was geared up and ready to play more. Which was good, because we still had to eat dinner get a bath and I didn't want him to get too much of a nap so close to bedtime.
Thank you Bobbie and Dylan for the ball popper - you've
officially won the award for loudest toy. :) And Q loves it!
Q continues to love teasing Frodo...
...And play in his kennel. This was the first time he'd
actually gotten in the kennel. He did get a little frustrated when
he couldn't stand.
A big CONGRATS to Brandon and Gretchen on their new addition, Max Frederick. We can't wait to meet the little guy.
