Happy 18 Months Cameron!!
Cameron turned 18 months on the 15th. We made it to the doctor and as expected, he's doing great. He weighed in at 23 #'s (45%). Based on how well he eats, I was expecting this to be a lot more. He's 31 1/4 inches tall (14%) and his head is more proportioned to his body at 18 inches (20%). He got 2 shots, and Thats all the shots he'll need until he's 5 years old. He will get a lead check at 2 years, which is just a finger prick.
He says a few words and is starting to talk more and more. Of course, talks gibberish non stop. He loves books, but doesn't want to sit still long enough for you to read one to him. He does let me read him 2 books every night before bed, but gets restless if they're too long, or I try for a 3rd.
After some tough love and a couple nights of letting him cry it out a bit, he's a great sleeper. He was getting up at least once a night for awhile, wanting food. SO glad we're past that. Speaking of food, he has about 4-5 teeth, which is normal, however, they aren't coming in the same order as most do. He's getting the teeth he should be getting now, however, the teeth that should have already came in, aren't, or are coming very slowly after others.. According to the doctor, it's normal for teeth to come in random order when they come in late. He didn't have any teeth until about 15 months.. so, I'm happy he at least has the ones he does. And he eats EVERYTHING, so clearly it doesn't bother him. Most nights, he'll eat more than Quentin... which may not be saying too much. :) I can't even think of anything he doesn't like. Cameron used to turn down mashed potatoes, but actually ate them tonight with no problems. Carbs are his favorite, imagine that!
Cameron's favorite song is Itsy Bitsy Spider, and loves to do he motions, especially the wiping the spider out part. It's really cute when Quentin sings it, and Cameron does the motions. I'll try to get a video. His other favorite song is Row, Row, Row your Boat. He loves rowing and gets pretty aggressive with it. We've changed the words to say aggressively instead of gently.
He's a pretty good kid for the most part.. of course, he does do some things that are mean.. Like, hitting Quentin and Frodo. And if he gets mad and doesn't get what he wants, he'll head butt the floor, a wall, you, whatever is in front of him. It's actually pretty funny. And, he did ruin my phone by swishing it around in the toilet water. That was awesome - NOT! So, thanks to all who sent me text message after I got a new phone. I only had a few people tell me they were someone else. :)
Okay - enough about that.. on with some pictures.
I know I've taken few pictures with #2, however, I may have taken an excessive amount with #1..so, I'm sure I'm still above average.
Now, for baby #3 update - I've hit the 27 week mark today. And, I think 3rd tri will start next week? Sad, how quickly you forget these things. I had the great glucose test my last dr. appt, which was about 3 weeks ago and thankfully, passed. Things are going great and he's the size of a head of cauliflower. He moves a ton, especially during the day. Often I can see my stomach raise with his movements. It's cool, and creepy at the same time. So far, no jabs or kicks to the ribs. I think I could eat pizza and peanut m&m's everyday. Although, I could probably eat them everyday when I'm not pregnant too.
One more story before I go. Quentin continues to amaze us with his vocabulary. The other day, as we were driving down a county road, he spotted a house and said, "Oh look, I see a house over in the meadow." It was pretty funny. Another word he likes to use is muck, and he pretends to get stuck in the muck.

He still loves his binky, but we try to only allow it at nap and bed time.
Quentin picked out Cam's clothes for the day, and then wanted to wear the same thing. :)
stepping off the chair...without falling.
Quentin stole the whole container of strawberries I'd just cut up.. at least he shared.
Cam continues to LOVE baths.

Update Time!!!!
It's been kind of a dreary few weeks. Sure, we've had lots of snow, but it's the freezing temps and wind that annoy me. Today started off snowy and wet, but ended a little warmer and wet. This cold weather is hopefully on the way out, which is good because I'm not sure the zipper on my coat will be staying together much longer. We're suppose to have 50 degree temps the next couple days, and I'm really looking forward to them.
We haven't been SUPER busy the last few weeks, but this cold and snow has kept us not wanting to get out much...besides my weekly Target trips.
A couple weeks ago, Q had been talking about Lena. So, we made a playdate and met up with Lena and Brian at the Jordan Creek play area. the kids had so much fun. We had lunch and visited Barnes and Nobles too, which the kids also loved.
That may have been our only outing in the last couple weeks. Lame, I know. But, there's sure to be more if the weather gets warmer.
In other news - Quentin turned 3.5 years old on January 2nd. I cannot believe he'll be 4 years old in just a few short months. That also means, I'll have 3 kids, 3 and under for about a month as well.. Crazy!! Q is getting so smart and says pretty funny stuff. He calls us Mom and Dad again. (He went through a stage of this about a year ago and resorted back to mommy and daddy). He also asks a lot of questions.. questions that I have no idea how to answer.. like, "why are stop signs octagons?" And, we get a lot of weird statements like.. "beavers live in logs." The morning drive to pre-school, which he LOVES, is never boring. He continues to be a great big brother, and will get things for Cameron, like his water when he wants it. It's cute! Of course, there is the fighting. Cameron loves Q's blanket and tries to take it every chance he gets. Quentin weighed himself yesterday and he was a whopping 33 pounds.
On to some pictures of Q...
Most nights have a little chasing and wrestling.. until someone gets hurt. That someone is usually Quentin.
Lots of time is spent in the basement. Q loves the train track him and Grandma build and re-build daily. Cameron has started to really like it as well.
Q loves to draw and is getting petty good.
Quentin roared the other day, and then said it was a daddy roar. My mom roared back, and apparently, her roar was a baby roar. If you ask him to roar like a baby, it's more of a mouse noise.
We had Cameron's 18 month appointment today. Update on him in another post!
Update on Tre (#3) - He's doing great. Making lots of movements and still right on schedule. I had my glucose test last appointment, and passed.. so was very glad I didn't have to do the 3 hour. I'll have another appointment in March, and will start going every 2 weeks after that. The weeks will really start to go by fast then.

This picture is funny because I had them all on the caterpillar and at the very last second, Q and cam fell.
Lena pretended to be the teacher - Cute!

Fun Foto Friday - Happy Valentines Day!!!
I have started a much over-do catch up post, and will hopefully get to that this weekend.
We're getting more snow here this morning, and I really hope school doesn't get canceled because Quentin is super excited for his Valentines Day party today and to take apples for his friends.
