Happy May Day!!! This is one of my favorite days of the year. We delivered around 25 May Day baskets to the neighbor kids. And our doorbell rang several times as well.

| This is about half the baskets we got |
Quentin played soccer on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Saturday games were always more fun to watch.
Hooray for new helmets. We had gotten Quentin a new helmet when he got a new bike, but it was a bit too big. So, Q and Jeremy exchanged it for this one. Quentin loves it and we have no arguments when he rides his bike.
Happy Birthday Aunt Nanna! And Happy Mothers day Mom! We had Dianna's birthday dinner and Mothers day on the 3rd. Somehow I didn't get any pictures with Dianna in them.
On the 5th we met with an ENT for Ben. We were referred after having several ear infections. Dr Morgan said the left looked worse than the right when he used some machine. But when he looked at them himself, the right looked worse than the left. We were scheduled for tubes for June 3rd.. nearly a whole month away. Ben did pretty good with everything, and did not have an infection at that time. The whole appointment went pretty quick.
On the 9th, we had Peyton's Graduation party.

Kenzie and Cameron - Kenzie worked at our daycare and is one of Peyton's good friends. |
Happy Mothers day!! On the 11th we went to Hickory Park in Ames with Nancy and Emily. All the boys had made me mothers day cards and items at daycare and preschool. They're pretty cute, and funny.

| Jeremy got me Apple TV, which is pretty cool. |
On the 15th, Mom had a hip replacement surgery. Surgery went well, and she was up walking within hours of surgery. We took the kids to visit her in the hospital.. might not have been the best idea.. They found LOTS of fun stuff to "play" with. Needless to say, we didn't stay long.
Mom was at Methodist West and hospitals these days are Fancy.. no wonder healthcare is so expensive. :)

This is a water fall like wall. There is water running down the wall behind Quentin |
I came across a local photographer who was looking for models for her to practice on. She'd just finished redoing her home studio and wanted some practice in it. So I signed Cam and Ben up to be her models. She wasn't looking for Quentin's age, but said she'd take a few with all 3. I won't share all of them because that's a lot.. but she sent me 72 pictures. Only 1 of all 3 of them though. Cameron wasn't having pictures that day. She did get a handful of just him, but he was tough. Overall, I thought they turned out pretty good. And, it was perfect timing since Ben turns 1 at the end of the month, Quentin turns 5 and graduated pre-school around the day these were taken.
Quentin graduated 4yr pre-school. He was SO excited. He loved pre-school and says he's sad he doesn't get to go anymore, but is enjoying the summer with Grandma Nancy too. There is a whole post with a lot more pictures.. Check that out for all the events that took place that day.
Memorial day weekend, Jeremy went with a couple neighbor guys to a KC Royals game. They stayed one night, and sounds like they had fun.
On the 30th, I did my first half marathon. Dam to Dam used to be a 20K I believe, which was just shy of a half marathon. It changed a couple years ago to a full half. I signed up in February I think to run this thing. I didn't get as much training in as I'd like, but I still finished. There was all kinds of entertainment along the way.. including horses and men wearing bras. I'm toying with doing the Des Moines 1/2 marathon in October, and will decide in the next couple weeks if I do that one.
Ben also turned 1 years old on the 30th. I didn't realize it until the day before the race, that exactly 1 year ago, I was in the hospital, and had just had a baby. Ben has been such a fun baby, even when having ear infections, he's still happy..although a bit crabby too. Another post will be all about him and his birthday.
