It's Been Awhile...

Here it is - another catch up post. I'm seeing a pattern.

First up - Happy Fathers Day!! We celebrated the day by going to Lowe's to get a back up sump pump and battery and spending the afternoon with some water. We spent Saturday afternoon with my family. Poor dad had to grill. The guy never gets a day off. :)

The kids found a toad in the window well.

Jeremy has been talking about cutting the kids hair himself, pretty much since Quentin's first haircut. We finally bit the bullet and got some clippers. Jeremy couldn't wait to try them out, and cut Quentins hair this past weekend. It's a little shorter than I'd like, but, it will grow back. Only 5 more haircuts before the clippers have paid for themselves. Cameron has yet to experience the new clippers. I'm not quite sure he's ready for that yet.

A group of us rode the Full Moon High Trestle Trail bike ride this past Saturday night. The moon was full, although didn't seem very big. The bridge was cool, but the massive amounts of people without lights and black strollers, not so cool. I'm amazed we didn't hit anyone/thing. Big thanks to my mother in law for watching the kiddo's.

The zoo has Zoo Brew every Wednesday night in the summer. It's for adults only and basically, you walk around, check out the animals, listen to live music all while having a couple drinks. Jeremy and I went for the first time with some of my co-workers. It was a good time. We'll be back.

Giraffes look so awkward when they drink.

We made it to one of Peyton's softball games. Aunt Nana and Uncle Eric were also there. We live less than a mile away from the fields, so walked. Cameron loves riding in the stroller and it must be pretty relaxing as he almost always falls asleep. He must have known Dianna wanted to played with him, he woke up just before the game ended.

A couple Friday nights ago - we had some kids that live behind us, were running through yards, and apparently forgot we had a fence. They ran right smack into it, and did about $400 worth of damage.

Apparently, strong winds aren't anything to mess with. We came home to our tree pretty much snapped in half from the storm earlier in the day yesterday. It pretty much had to come down before it fell down. And, lucky for us, Jeremy just got a new chainsaw last week. Who knew it'd come in handy so soon?

Other random pictures from the last couple weeks:

Garden is looking good!

Cam man, loves his baths

Apparently, we have a lot of cars, and our entry way, is the
perfect place to race them.

Hey look, It's raining again!

I dare you to find a happier baby!

Next up - Quentin and Cameron's first trip to Adventureland.

Weekend Fun - Fishing style!

Saturday afternoon, we headed out to the annual fishing derby in town. Carrie and Stella joined us as well. I was skeptical to even go, since we didn't even have a fishing pole, and I wasn't sure what Quentin would think of it. Carrie actually found an old pole in their house for us to use and Stella had a pole, so we decided to give it a whirl.

We chose not to even put hooks on the poles, since neither kid really knew what they were doing (neither did Carrie or I for that matter). And, I wasn't prepared for an eye to get taken out. So, we let the kids cast their poles into the water, with bobbers on. It worked out quite well, and both Quentin and Stella loved "fishing."

They had free lunch for all.

After we fished - we played at the park for a few minutes.

Of course, we did have fun around the house as well.

Cameron was shoveling in cottage cheese.

Having fun outside!

Huge thanks to my cousin Meggen for dropping for a tub of geo track Friday night.  The kids love it, and it was a huge hit with the neighbor kids as well.

It's raining, It's pouring..

We've had a ton of rain lately but that hasn't stopped us from having fun!

Lena and Saran stopped over last weekend. Quentin and Lena are so funny to watch. The conversations 2 year old have.

They had a dance party!

Quentin loves his lego train!
Cameron is getting so big. He's up on his feet and standing now, and has cruised a long the furniture a couple times.

So much rain, our backyard was backed up. The drain is
right on the other side of the fence, but it couldn't keep up.
And, what do you do when it stops raining?? Jump in it of course!

We were able to eat dinner on the deck a few times though.

Just when we thought it was done raining,
we started up the grill, and it started again!

This past weekend, we headed to the Y for our last water babies class of the session. Huge thanks to Traci for taking a few pictures.

Afterwards, we stuck around for a snack with Stella and a little bball.

Sunday, Quentin and I met up with Carrie and Stella at the zoo. It was a little chilly in the morning, but, at least it wasn't raining.

These guys are walking across america for cancer -running 25-30 miles a day. It was fun to see them in person, and I couldn't believe they didn't just want to sit down and stay off their feet, since they'd already done their 30 miles for the day.

The giraffes (one of my favorites) were awesome. All 4 of them were moving and doing something. I'd never seen them try to reach for food though, and was amazed at how long their tongue was, and how it curled to grab the branch.

Cameron loves the music table!

Another dinner on the deck - Crazy talk! I think the rain is finally slowing down.

Quentin often waits for Cameron to get up from nap, so he
can climb in his crib.

As I was getting supper ready, Jeremy was going to feed Cameron. Quentin said he wanted to, and moved the chair in front of cameron, and got all situated by himself and fed him. It was pretty cute! Of course, he was done after about 2 bites, and wanted his own dinner. Cameron wasn't sure what was going on.
