January 2017..

I'm finally into 2017. This post is only for January, but I already can't believe we're just a couple days away from March.

January was a quiet month for us, which I'm not complaining about.

We went to Frankies for new years. It was fun to see most everyone. Quentin and Cameron both say they love his house, it's so fun, but there aren't any toys. which makes me pretty happy that they still have fun somewhere that doesn't have many toys, including tablets/ipads.

Ben and Jasmine playing with the few toys that are there.

Logan loved the quatias

Aunt Mary always claims she's not tired, but cold.. but she always falls asleep.

We played a little Pimps.. I won a pot that was over $10.. most of that $ was Frankies. :)

We had family dinner at my parents house. Dad made some sort of dip in the crock pot, that you ate with bread. It was pretty good. and then of course pastachena. One without egg for KaVon(spoiled kid).

Ben and I made it to one of Julian's games. He played something like 7 games that weekend, so we picked one and went. Sometimes I forget how big he is, until I see him against others his age.

Other pictures from the month...

Jeremy bought this track from a neighbor a couple years ago. I think it's slot cars. The kids loved it, but have since broken the cars..

Quentin's story telling...

He's looking so old!

I tried a couple new things for dinner. Meatball sliders and crispy parmesan garlic chicken and zucchini. Both were really good and I'll definitely make them again soon.

When it's cold, we hibernate and play our iPads/tablets and watch netflix. Needless to say, we're getting our money's worth from our internet.

We started family exercises.. since the above picture was what I was noticing a lot.. The pick below is the workout we do. It only takes about 10-15 minute, but it gets us all up and moving and doing something, not on a screen.

Cameron's preschool class has been talking about exercise too. Ms Angie, his teacher asked to send pictures of him doing exercises. This is one I caught him doing, which I don't think he was even aware it was an exercise.

Thats all for this month.

December 2016...

Whew, that last month flew by! haha.

We got elfed - our basket was full of cookie making supplies, a few adult beverages and some hot chocolate.

We went to the annual Santa breakfast in town. Ben wanted NOTHING to do with Santa, but he was all about eating.

Quentin thought he was being sly and sneaking some candy canes

It was off to more basketball after that.

Cameron was such a goof ball this game. He was having a lot of fun.

Yes, I'm not sure why, but at one point he thought it was a good idea to take his shirt off.. it wasn't long afterwards that another kid did it. Thankfully, he put it right back on.

Hugging his friend, Benson

Quentin played too.

Merry and Bright parade. The town puts on a parade at night. People dressed up their tractors, and other motorized vehicles and paraded through town. Santa also does the tree lighting of our town tree.  Afterwards, there are crafts, hot chocolate and the kids can visit Santa.

Cam was very comfortable with Santa and told him he wanted a 4 yr old bat mobile.

At one point, the kids were visiting Santa, well, except Ben who was attached to my leg, but I came back to the table and found Jeremy doing crafts all by himself. 😂

First snow of the season. The kids loved it! They even wanted to shovel.

Quentin said before he even went out that he wanted hot chocolate when he came back in.. Of course, I had it ready.

And what Quentin wants, Ben wants. Cameron didn't like it.

We all got in our family pajamas, grabbed some blankets, popcorn and M&M's, and We traveled through Jolly Holiday Lights.. We went on a weeknight, and got there right at 5:30.. so it wasn't too bad at all. By the time we were done though, the line was pretty long. Poor Ben fell asleep at the beginning. He woke up in time to see most of it.

Jeremy and I took a day off work to finish our Christmas Shopping. We hit up several places, including breakfast at Hurts donut ( I had no idea how it got it's name. Jeremy informed by hitting me and saying, "hurts donut). We also made it to Francies for lunch. I think I could eat there once a week. It was so much fun, we're going to do it every year.

After picking up the kids from school, we headed to bass pro to see Santa. We try to do some of these things on the week nights to avoid people.. and lines. We got there around 4:30 and just got one of the last passes for that time. So we immediately went and got in line. Once again, Ben wanted nothing to do with Santa, but he did get a little closer this time, as long as Jeremy was holding him.

They gave picture frames with each Santa visit.. This is the only way I can get all 3 kids with Santa. haha.

Dec 15th - We celebrated Jeremys birthday with his mom, sister and Ricky.  They came over right after work, we ate a quick dinner, opened presents, ate cake and then were off to Ben's Christmas program for daycare.

Ben was not happy at the program. He cried until I came and stood up there with him. We've done this every year since Quentin was 18 months old, and this is the first kid to do this. The others at least just sat there and didn't do anything if they didn't want to be there.

Dec 17th - Jeremy's actual birthday. I made him wait until after the kids basketball games to open his presents. One of them is a drone.. that he tried to fly in the house. After a run in with the Christmas tree, we decided it was meant for outside, on a much nicer day.

The kids loved playing with the wrapping paper.

Merry Christmas - We went to my parents house for our traditional prime rib dinner. It was So good!

Cameron wanted a power ranges costume. Annette managed to find one. (make note, Cam wanted to wear his puppy costume, you can kind of see it in the pic below). I've never seen him take a costume off and put another on so fast.

Ben didn't really care about the presents. He just wanted fried bread.

Ben got a big fire truck that sprays water.. and Logan got a big truck. They loved them.

Then it was off to our house to get the kids to bed before Santa came. Jeremy told Ben that Santa LOVES peanut butter blossoms and milk. So thats just what Ben left him.

Jeremy and I quickly got to work as soon as the kids went to bed. Our tree was already pretty full of presents. We didn't really add THAT much to it.

Cameron woke up at 5a.m. He thought he pee'd the bed... instead he just had to go pee. Then he looked, and almost started crying because he didn't think Santa had came. After he realized Santa DID come, he woke his brothers up. It's amazing to me how quickly they get out of bed for things like this. Why aren't they this excited for things like.. school?? ha!

Since Cam thought he'd peed the bed, he wanted to change his pajamas just in case.

Ben wasn't really interested in opening presents.. He just wanted to read Brown Bear, Brown Bear.

Cameron got his 4yr old bat mobile. I think he was expecting something he could ride on. But, we already have the gator and all the batman ride on toys were too small for him. So he got one he could push around and it shoots something.  He wasn't very excited about it. :(

Quentin wanted a stuffed cat, a nintendo book thing (DS)and a pullover hooded sweatshirt. The kid doesn't ask for much.  We looked for a stuffed animal cat, but found everything but the cat. I could have ordered one online, but didn't think it was really necessary.. since we already have so many stuffed animals. And, Quentin had only mentioned it a couple times. I actually thought he'd forgotten about it, until he came out of his room after Santa had come and the first thing he said was, "where's my cat?" Jeremy quickly came to the rescue and said the stuffed Simba (that Santa had brought for Ben) was a cat. Quentin seemed okay with that answer. I blame Jeremy for not getting the cat.

Cam got a new outfit.. and he just couldn't wait to put it on. He stopped opening all presents until he had it on. He LOVES it!

The aftermath.. Luckily it didn't take long to pick up.

We had time to play a little before taking a nap and gearing up for Grandma Nancy, Emily, Ricky and Gabe to come over.

I think Jeremy secretly wants nerf guns for himself.. Him and kids run around here all the time shooting each other. I just try to stay out of the crossfire - those things hurt.

Don't worry - Ben is just wearing some hand me downs.. No message with this shirt.

In fact, that brings me the next thing.. The crib came down.. and beds went up before the year ended.

BYE BYE Crib.

Hello new bed for Quentin..

We moved the bunk beds to the room that had the crib in it, since it's a bigger room. They aren't bunked. Ben and Cameron are now sharing those beds. Quentin is in his own room with his new bed. It's a trundle bed plus it has drawers for storage.. win win if you ask me. All the kids are loving their beds. Ben only gets up about 4 times every night before giving up and going to sleep.

After all that moving and re-arranging, my cousin Kristy had great timing asked if I wanted to get a flight at the brewery in town.. How do I pass that up? and the cider is SO GOOD!

Other pictures from the month..

Jeremy's company Christmas Party
Some how we all managed to snuggle in our bed.

Ben ate his plate, then moved to Quentin's plate.

Cam loves his bed, his sheets and his tablet.

Who knew they still did Book It!

New recipe I tried.. the kids and Jeremy all turned their noses up at it, but it was SO good! All it is is taco meat in zucchini boats with cheese on top.

I cam home from work one day and Ben had gotten a haircut.. Jeremy said he had to practically hold him down, but he got it.. Yes, I know it's not straight.

Cam doesn't mind getting haircuts. Jeremy got one of those aprons off amazon since he knew he'd be doing this for a few years.
