Two Weeks Worth of Fun!

We've kept pretty busy the last couple of weeks.

We're really good at drawing lines with chalk

Happy St. Patricks day! We had planned on going to the parade, but after hearing there would be over 25k people there, we decided the zoo might be better, and I'm sure more entertaining for Q. Annette and the boys joined us for the zoo.

Julian wanted to push the stroller
every chance he got.

bye bye zoo!
That Sunday, Jeremy and I both woke up sick. I couldn't even keep water down and Jeremy had a pounding headache and was nauseous much of the day as well. We still managed to take turns with Q, and tried to ignore our sickness. Luckily, Q didn't catch any of it.

Ask Q to build a house and this is what you get. I think
every house should have a fish on top.

During the week, we keep busy with playing outside. We've pretty much met all the neighbor kids and parents. Our doorbell has even rang a couple times to see if Q could come out and play. Super Cute!!

I swear we feed this kid!

Hudson and Q.

After all the body tracing, our driveway looked like a
crime scene.

Q is definitely a grandpa's boy.
Saturday morning Q and I met Carrie and Stella for a couple laps around grays lake. It was perfect weather and the kiddo's were great hanging out in their strollers for 4 miles.

Q got this outfit from Lena for Christmas
and I was pretty excited he could finally
fit into it.

Q and Stella.

Saturday afternoon was "Pinterest day!" Our friend Kandi and her daughter Haley came over for our 2nd Pinterest day. We made door mats with our initials on them and a chicken taco crock-pot recipe. We'll definitely be making the chicken tacos again. They were simple and delicious.

Amazing what a door mat and a can of spray paint can do.

The finished product. I realize the "T"
doubles as a "J," which works
 out well for our house.

We celebrated KaVon's 13th birthday today at my parents house. KaVon is growing up to be such a great cousin and brother. He was also recently selected to be in Science Bound and we couldn't be more proud of him.

Q is getting pretty good at dribbling.

Fun Foto Friday!

I'll post more after this weekend.. I promise. I'll leave you with these pictures for now.

We went to Village Inn with Grandma and Grandpa the other night. Mom and I decided to split a piece of French Silk pie. Of course Q saw it and immediately said "bite, bite." And, of course he loved it and wanted more.

Apparently, grandma can't feed him fast enough, he has
to take things into his own hands.

Fun Foto Friday! - To be sick, or not to be sick?

The last few days have been interesting. Quentin got sick in his sleep Tuesday night/Wednesday morning (not something I ever want to wake up to again), but seemed fine after a bath, of course. So, off to daycare he went. He must have been fine all day, as I didn't get a call until 4pm (as I was on my way to pick him up) saying he had a fever. Which now means, he can't come back for 24 hours.

So, Thursday I stayed home with him all day. What better day than NCAA Thursday, to be sick. Even better that he wasn't acting sick at all. He was his happy old self. So that brings us to this morning. He woke up crying, which isn't like him, but we got him calmed down and he even wanted some strawberries and pineapple.

One turn away from pulling into daycare, and Quentin puked on himself (and his cute St. Patricks day shirt) and car seat. So, back home we are, for a bath, laundry and a day of basketball.

Thankfully Jeremy was able to come back home and clean up the car seat. Being pregnant, and smelling puke is NOT fun!

So, now for the pictures.....
Wednesday after daycare - no fever, that we could tell and yes, we took his temp. Acting and eating just fine.

Mr. Tough Guy!

Hanging with mommy Thursday!

It was too nice to be inside, so we took our coloring outside
 This morning...
Eating his pineapple and strawberries and wanting "more"

In the end, I'm sure he has some sort of stomach bug. I just wish it would be done already instead of teasing us.

Loving the outdoors!

This past weekend was so nice outside that we spent much of our time in the back yard.

Frodo absolutely loved us being outside with him.

Q was a little upset when we had to come inside.

We found this at Costco - I'm not sure who wanted it more,
Jeremy or Q.
We finally were able to put our Christmas gift from Nancy
together.

And a little relaxation before getting ready for bed.
Of course we made time for a walk.
We headed to my parents house on Sunday for pizza and fried chicken. The pizza is from Franks Pizza in Silvis, IL and was mentioned in this article below over the weekend as being the 6th best pizza in the country. If you are ever in the quad cities, it's worth stopping for a bite here. You won't be disappointed.

We've been watching a lot of basketball lately - Q has definitely picked up a few things. I'm pretty impressed with his form - Not bad for a 20 month old.
