Fun Foto Friday - Vroom, Vroom!!

My co-worker, Kim, was super nice in giving Q this 4-wheeler thing her son was too big for. Q was a little hesitant at first, but it didn't take him long to get the hang of it and take off. I'm thinking a helmet will be on his christmas list.

Weekend Recap - Catch Up!

So I know I've been slacking lately, so here is my attempt to catch up. Truth is, I've just been lazy.  A week ago Saturday we met up Stella and Carrie at Valley West Mall to do a little shopping and to see Santa. Q was not so much a fan of Santa this year. Stella just smiles at everything and everyone, so, of course, she loved it. We stopped at play area for a few minutes before leaving.

On the following Sunday morning, we met up with Saran and Lena for another play date at Jordan Creek Mall. I think the Jordan Creek play area is Q's favorite.

Sunday night we headed to my parents house to celebrate Peyton's birthday. We got her a giant ladybug pillow pet.. she loved it, as did Q. So, of course I had to run out to costco and buy him a frog one for Christmas.

Julian also loved it.. and Q liked jumping on Julian. It was
fun for everyone. 

Next up - Thanksgiving. I'll try to get it posted yet this week, no promises though.

Weekend Re-Cap

I realize I'm a little late updating the blog after this past weekend. I had planned on doing it Sunday night like I usually do. However, I wasn't feeling well, so went to bed instead. And actually still didn't feel well Monday and stayed home from work. I self diagnosed myself with tonsillitis (thanks WebMD) and tried to stay clear of Q and Jeremy. Q survived - Jeremy not so much. I swear Jeremy is worse than a kid starting a new daycare. He catches everything. 

So, besides not feeling well Sunday and Monday - we had an uneventful weekend. We managed to get a couple more boxes unpacked and we're pretty much left with stuff we don't really know what we're going to do with. Donation might be what ends up happening with those. 

Saturday - Q, Frodo and I played outside while Jeremy
hung half of the Christmas lights. (the other half are getting
hung this weekend).

On Sunday, Annette and the Boys stopped over to help decorate cupcakes. Carrie and Stella also came over to decorate cupcakes, but Julian was doing such a great job, we let him decorate them all. 

KaVono did manage to decorate one as well. 

Q loves playing in Frodo's kennel. He also has started
taking off his socks, which Frodo LOVES!

Jeremy made a Harry Potter style bus out of legos - Q enjoyed pushing
it around the house. 

The kid loves books and reads them several times a day. 

Grandma Nancy had also been over this weekend and showed
Q that he didn't need water to play in the bathtub.. So Sunday
he managed to get in the tub by himself. 

Weekend Fun!

First - Happy Birthday to my niece Peyton. We had planned to watch her in cheer competition on Saturday but Q decided to take a nap right before we would have had to leave. We're looking forward to your birthday dinner next weekend.

We are getting more and more settled in each weekend. While we love having places to go and people to see on the weekends, it's also nice to be able to lounge around the house and get things done without feeling rushed. Which is just what we did this weekend.

Q turned 16 months on Wednesday. Each month is more and more amazing with how much he understands and the new words he says. He loves being outside and thanks to the weather we've been having, we've been able to extend our outdoor time a little. I can't wait for him to play in the snow and see what he thinks of that, although not hoping it comes anytime soon. He continues to be so happy and so fun to be around.

He started trying to do summersaults the other day. I'm pretty sure he picked it up at daycare as summersaults are not something Jeremy and I routinely do (although the thought of that does make me laugh). It was actually really cute and funny until he started doing it in his crib when he was suppose to be going to sleep.

On Sunday - Carrie and Stella stopped over to see the new place. Stella is so smiley and happy.

I turned back around, his feet were on the table. I guess we'll be
using the tray a little longer. 

This weekend we managed to get rid of a few more boxes and set up a little play area for Q in the basement. He absolutely LOVES it down there and says "no, no, no" when we tell him he has to come upstairs. He even went down there in the dark and I thought for sure he would be back up in a couple minutes.. wrong. He played and somehow found balls to throw around.

 There is still never a dull moment, especially with Q. He keeps us very entertained. And when he's not entertaining us, we're entertaining ourselves with the silly things we do and say to entertain him.

Fun Foto Friday - Happy Birthday Stanzi

No, I'm not talking about the ex hawkeye quarterback.. I'm talking about Dianna and Eric's dog. Stanzi turned 1 year old today!

Frodo is unsure about having another dog to compete for
Annette's attention. 

And because I can't have a post without a pic of Q - He's very into helping these days.
