Fun Foto Friday - Happy Halloween!!

We had beggars night on Thursday. Quentin wanted to be Spider-Man, so we then decided to make the others super hero's too. Next year, I'm shooting for the 3 stooges! Jeremy did a great job on the coordinating pumpkins.

Fun Foto Friday!

Quentin LOVES these pajamas, and would wear them everyday if they got washed fast enough. And, when Grandma Nancy is here, they do. So, every night, those are the ones he wants, and he always wants Cam to wear the same ones. it's pretty cute.. but, i'm over these pajamas's already. ha!

And, since I can't post without a pic of Ben..

August!

So here it is.. Finally.. This is a bit how our August went.

We went to the fair - Quentin and I headed to the fair with Bobbie, Dylan and Vera on Eastside Night. Luckily, we got there early in the afternoon and it wasn't too crazy. First stop was Little Hands on the Farm. This is one of my favorite parts of the fair.

While we waited in line D and Q found a tree to sneak into.

Genious to have something for the kids,
while they wait.
The weather was perfect, not to hot, not too cold. But, how do you pass up a "misting?" The kids actually got pretty wet for only being in it for 2.5 seconds.

new feature this year was the American Gothic statue.. it's insanely large and cool. I think it's up all year, at least I would assume, since it is so large. So, I think we'll venture to the fairgrounds at some point and see it again... without all the extra people.

Spin art tradition. 4th year in a row these 2 have done spin art together at the fair. Hoping this tradition continues for many more years.

Of course, we had to see the big pig and cow. This 4H girl was SO sweet though. I can't remember where she was from, but she let the kids pet her calf and answered any questions and was just so nice.

In the sheep barn, they had a puzzle..  Q and D did it at least 3 times. It was nice because I don't think anyone else had discovered it, or at least not while we were there, so no line! and the kids could take as long as they wanted.

Time to milk a cow - I have a picture of Quentin actually milking the cow, but I'm not sure where it went.. so I'll have to find that. He was hesitant at first. but the guy helping was super nice and let him pet the cow first, which helped. Well spent $2.

Of course, we had to hit the Big Yellow Slide a few times. Quentin was a rockstar and actually went down by himself the first time.

Other things we did while Dylan and Bobbie were in town..

We made a flying bus at Lowes.

D and Q helped me make a dessert that we were taking to a friends house that night.
Crushing Oreo's
 We went to the park

Their ride to and from the park.

We played golf. Dylan gave Quentin his old set of clubs. They're real clubs and are so cute!! Grandpa has already taken Q out a couple times.

Thanks for clubs D!

Quentin started 4yr Pre-School this year. Before school started, we got to meet his teacher and bring all his school supplies to Meet the Teacher Night. He's super excited for Pre-school and didn't want to leave the room.

Sorting out his supplies

A little playing.

Cameron turned 2 on the 15th. You can see all about that in his own post, which has been already posted.

We had a dinner date at Saran's house with Lena, Melissa and Hailey. The kids had a great time playing. Lena was so cute, and just wanted to hold Ben.

Quentin started soccer. He played on Tuesdays and Saturday's. Tuesdays games were a little rough since he also has pre-school on that day.. and since he goes in the afternoon, there isn't any time for a nap.

His age doesn't have goalie.. but, that appeared to be the position he wanted at times.

We celebrated Julian and mom's birthday - I cant remember what we ate, but I made a smores desert, which was very tasty. And, in case you're wondering, both Dad and Julian are wet because we also did the ALS ice bucket challenge. Somehow, I managed to not get a pic of mom.

On the 26th, Quentin had his first day of pre-school. He was SO excited. I took him his first day, but most days, Grandma Nancy comes to our house in the morning, and watches him until pre-school starts at 12:30. Thankfully,  I'm off work at 3pm, just in time to pick him up at 3:30. I also pick up a neighbor girl and listening to the 2 of them talk about the day is hilarious.

Other pictures from August.

Ben loves bath time!

Cam is getting brave.

enjoying the rain. :)

We went out to eat with my parents, before heading to my grandma's to visit with my Aunt Shelley who was in town from Phoenix. Cam was so funny - he ate a good portion of his food, and as he passed Quentins plate, he took a few more bites of his food. I think he could have sat there and ate an hour longer. There was a couple behind us that just thought he was so funny.

It was great to catch up with Aunt Shelley and other family while she was here.

Our neighborhood is protected now!

We had gone back to the fair one more time before it was over. Jeremy and I tried the fried Oreo's.. they were just okay.

This dog.. his hair drives me NUTS but, he's such a good
dog.. and a little overweight. :) I think Cam is to
blame for that. ha!

Daddy gets all the credit for cutting nails. He always
does it and has with all the kids.

Cam was almost too tired to eat.

I managed to flip through a magazine and find a little painting fun for the kids to do. So, when the weather was just right, we did it. I found some balls with different surfaces on them and we dipped them in paint, and then rolled them around the pool onto a taped piece of paper. It worked pretty well and made some fun designs. And, since it's washable paint, it was super easy to clean the pool out.

Last but not least - Our newest family pic.. as of August anyway. :)

I think that about sums up our August. Stay tuned for September and Ben turns 4 months.
