Happy Easter!!

Another 2 week in review.

We've hung around the house the last couple weeks. Nothing really exciting going on. Really looking forward to Easter and the entire month of April, when we have so much stuff planned.

Cameron is constantly watching Quentin.
Daycare wears Cameron out so much, some nights we
can hardly keep him awake to eat. This night, we
failed to even do that. :)

Jeremy might have the patience of a saint! Quentin thought
it was hilarious to comb his facial hair.
Cameron never stops smiling.
Quentin was sick last Friday. So, Jeremy and I split the day. Jeremy is far more patient than I am when it comes to sickness. I am one to try and ignore it when I'm sick and keep myself busy so even I, forget. I'm not the most sympathetic person, So I took the the afternoon shift in hopes Q would be feeling better, and all the puking would be done.
This is what I came home to Friday afternoon. They were
watching a movie, and you know Q is sick when he sits long
enough to do that.

Last Saturday, we had planned to have an Egg Coloring party with the neighbors, but with Q being sick, we had to cancel it. We still colored eggs and he loved it.

We colored eggs with kool-aid and water.
It worked really well.

Jeremy decided to write on a couple eggs before Quentin
colored them.

We used Kool-Aid and water to color them. Smells so much
better than vinegar.

Super Dad! It's not easy entertaining 2 kids and a dog all
at the same time.
Sunday morning, Q was still not feeling the greatest. He'd only had a hand full of cheez-it's, half a pancake, water and some animal crackers all weekend. Fortunately, he knew when it wasn't a good idea to eat and he didn't want to "pook" anymore. He was ready to go play with his friends at daycare by Monday morning.

He fell asleep all on his own, another way you know he's
not feeling well.

Quentin can almost put all the states together. Only
getting hung up in the NE corner.

Happy Easter!!

Saturday we had planned to do the Zoo, and the Easter Egg hunt there, but rain in the forecast and cloudy skies kept us away. We did make it to the Bondurant library in the morning to see the Easter Bunny though. Q has been talking about going to visit him all week. He was very excited until it came time to sit on his lap.

Saturday afternoon project.

Cameron didn't' mind the creepy Bunny

Q - Not so much.

He did eventually give the bunny a five!

Everything is shootable in Q's eyes.
Jeremy's afternoon project was fixing the lights. Q was a
great helper and told him what to do.

Turns out, I'm a terrible Easter Bunny. Q saw the balls in my closet on Friday night, and cried when he couldn't play with them. He showed no signs of remembering them though. So, we'll see how next year goes.

Easter Morning.

I love how Cam is busting out of his
pajamas.

Grandma Nancy stopped by this morning and noticed the
Easter Bunny left these baskets on our porch.

We headed to my parents in the afternoon. We did a little egg hut with just Q and Nolan, which worked out really well. Neither were overwhelmed. Quentin has been talking about all things Easter including EGGS!! He wants as many as he can get. This was his chance, and after a few minutes, was running to get as many as he could.

Last picture- Today happens to be the last day of the month, which means we take our family picture. :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

We had a pretty low key weekend, which was really nice.  We had planned on going to the St. Patrick's Day Parade yesterday, but the chilly weather kept us away. I am a little mad at myself for not thinking about using the skywalks.

We started off the weekend with Pink pancakes. I tried getting Quentin to choose green, but we had them last week, so he wanted pink.

Carrie and Stella came over after naps. We raced cars, played with play-doh, colored and made a craft.

This was our craft. Of course I got the idea
from Pinterest. Q did the feet, but then didn't
want to do the hands.
We start most mornings with play time. Sunday was no different. Cameron is getting quick at getting to places and getting what he wants. He likes to play with the toys Quentin is playing with.

my helper with making monster cookie bars.

Ta-DA!!
Cameron turned 7 months old on Friday - Where has the time gone? He's becoming such a little person, so fast. He rolls and wiggles all over and often sleeps with his tush in the air. It's adorable! I don't think it will be long before he's crawling. He jibber jabs all the time and rarely stops smiling. The daycare ladies all fight over who gets to hang out with him because he just smiles non stop. He's a drooling machine, but so far, no teeth have come through.

Haircuts All Around!

Last week, was haircut week. All of us except Jeremy got a haircut on Wednesday. Cameron wasn't sure at first, but was okay after a few minutes. He actually did pretty good for a 6 1/2 month old. Of course all the ladies in the salon wanted to take him home and gushed at how cute he was. Quentin sat great for his haircut.

All done!

This past weekend went by so fast, I can't even tell you what we did. Of course I took pictures, but besides that, I got nothing. It was such a raining/wet/slushy/snowy weekend, we stayed inside for most of it.

Quentin continues to LOVE books. He reads them morning, afternoon and night. He often sleeps with at least one and brings it to us when he gets up.

Green pancakes were a hit!  He at
3 whole pancakes.
I can't believe how fast Cameron is growing. We really have to watch him closely now, as he can pretty much get to anywhere he wants to go. He's not a fan of the hardwood floors though, so at least we can contain him to carpeted areas... For now.

Hopefully Cameron will follow in his brothers footsteps
for his love of books.

He must be buckled into everything.

Quentin's newest thing is trying to dress himself. He can take his clothes off, but putting them on is a bit more challenging. He was super excited he got his pants on all by himself. He ran and told everyone in the house. They're on backwards, but, who cares. It does leave me a little frustrated in mornings, however, when we're running a little late..which is every day.

Happy Daylight Savings time!  While we'll enjoy the little extra day light at night, it sure made for early morning this morning. Q let Jeremy help him get dressed so he would have time to read a book. He actually brought the book to me, and we read it together this morning. Sometimes, you just have to make time for certain things.

"I love you stink face" is a must have for every kids library
and has been a huge hit with Q (and Me) since the day
we got it from Dylan.

Cameron didn't want to get up this morning either. We
actually had to wake him up.

Another one of Q's favorites - I Spy! Thanks so much to my
co-worker Kim for giving us some of these.. Q LOVES them.
Tonight, he even said, it was his favorite book.

We are going to attempt the St. Patrick's day parade this coming weekend. So pray for a little warmer weather.
