We had an eventful weekend with a birthday party, build-a-bear and celebrating Dr. Seuss birthday at Books4Kids.
Saturday morning we headed to southridge mall to see the Cat in the Hat. We met up with Saran, Lena, Carrie and Stella as well. The kids got tattoos, decorated bookmarks and got to pick out a free book. Quentin picked out Manners at School. We haven't read it yet, but should be interesting.
The Des Moines register was there, and asked if they could take the kids pictures. They actually sat very well and he took several pictures. We'll see if any of them end up in the paper.
Look Stella! See my tattoo?
I couldn't even tell you the last time I'd been to Southridge mall. They've really done some improvements, but have a lot more to do. The Animal Rescue League has a store there, and had several cats up for adoption. Lena and Stella loved watching them.
These 2 were something else!
Cameron was a rockstar the whole day. Napping for most of it, and taking everything in when he was awake.
We headed to Wyatt and Jackson's first birthday party after the mall. I can't believe they're already one. It was their golden birthday and Sarah and Jeremy had an awesome party for them. Quentin enjoyed playing with playdoh, and picking suckers out of the sucker flower.
The boys did great eating cake. Wyatt dove right in. Jackson was a little more hesitant, but eventually just went for it.
"want a sucker, Stella?"
Quentin wanted to sit next to Cameron.. So I told him he had to make sure he didn't fall.
Cam man is getting good at sitting by himself.
Quentin chose a floppy eared puppy. and it's SUPER CUTE!!!
Giving the puppy a bath.
The rest of the afternoon was free. Grandma Nancy came over for dinner and to hang out.
Cameron loves his baths and splashing.
and is very grabby. He loves grabbing faces, hair, really anything that comes in reaching distance.
Huge thanks to Bobbie for the fishing pole - A big hit with Quentin. He loved "catching" the fish.
The 3 Muskateers are a hit, they made the dsm southside edition and the Altoona paper. WTG!
