Oh My! Where did July Go?

Where did July go? We were having so much fun, it flew by.

Since I already posted about Quentin's birthday, I'll start with Fourth of July - Since mom and dad went out of town for the 4th and Dads birthday, we hung around the house and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. Huge happy birthday to my Dad!

Quentin wasn't that amused with the snakes.

Cousins Camp - On July 8th, Quentin spent the day with Aunt Penny, Uncle Fred, Grandma Nancy and cousins, Paul, Alex and Max. They went to the zoo and played at Aunt Penny's house. I love that Quentin gets invited to hang out for a day at Cousins Camp with his cousins. He has so much fun and never wants to leave. Aunt Penny and Uncle Fred also invite us over for supper afterwards. Uncle Fred cooks the best chicken. Huge thanks to them for having us.

LOVING the swing.
July 9th - Happy Birthday Aunt Nettie! I don't have any recent pictures of Annette - she hates them, but I'll get one soon.

Rest of July - We went on bike rides... with our new bikes.

We spent time at the park with the neighbor kids and had a picnic. Quentin loved the basketball hoop and we had to negotiate how many shots he got to make before we left.

I did the color run with some co-workers. It was a lot of fun and we got a lot of color on us.

Mom and Dad stopped over to give Quentin his birthday present - a ball and glove. Quentin loves it, and wants to play catch all the time.

Cameron enjoyed hanging out on the
deck.

Cameron turned 11 months - These last 11 months have gone by SO fast. He'll be 12 months in less than 10 days, and it's just crazy to think that at this time last year, I was still pregnant. We are excited for him to experience the fair for the first time this year. And, I'm excited to make it there myself.

We finally got together to celebrate the July birthdays in our family.

July 23rd - Happy Birthday Grandma Nancy! We were going to eat at Tumea's, but Quentin came down with a fever, so we took it easy at home, and ordered pizza. He did manage to paint a picture for Grandma.

The last weekend of July is always the Italian Fest. We went early on Friday night and for the first time ever, I watched the queen get crowned. We enjoyed eating and watching my cousins do some Italian dancing.

We had a play date with Lena and Brian Saturday morning. The kids painted, and played outside.

Up, Up and Away.. Last Saturday night, we met up with Carrie, Stella, Bobbie and Dylan and headed to the Indianola Balloon Classic. It was the first time I'd ever gone, so I had no expectations. We did bring a little soccer ball for the kids to kick around and there were plenty of rides and bounce houses for the kiddo's to play on as well.

Before we left, Quentin opened his birthday present from Dylan - A book with his name and picture through out the story. It's so cute, and we read it often. Huge thanks to Vera and Herb for supper.

Quentin got to the top of the slide, but then didn't want
to come down. Bobbie very kindly went up and got him.

Roaring contest!  Stella roared very quietly. ;)

The next morning, we met up with Carrie, Stella, Bobbie, Dylan, Sarah, Wyatt, Jackson and Amy and her kiddo's. We had a little picnic at Grays lake, and the kids had a ton of fun playing. The weather was absolutely beautiful, almost a little chilly in the shade.

This kid cannot get enough of the swing!

Dylan and Q go so high!

Other random pictures from the month -

We visited daddy at work. Quentin loved "working"

Boy talk!

Last but not least - Our family picture we took on the last day of the month.

Quentin wanted me to take his picture too. Can't pass that up.
