September 2017

As you can see, I'm trying to get all caught up before the new year. I'd really like to stay caught up in 2018, but lets not get too ahead of ourselves. :)

My company has season tickets to both Iowa and Iowa State football. When the executives don't use them, they let employee's use them. So I was able to snag a couple tickets to the first game of the season - Iowa vs Wyoming.  Jeremy and Cam had a blast at the game. Cam fell asleep on Jeremy's shoulders on the way to the car.  Jeremy said the wave was pretty awesome!

Sept 2nd - Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! They celebrated their 40th, I think? They took a trip up to Utah last month to celebrate. Of course the golf clubs went along too and they crossed a few states off their "golf in every state" list.

Cameron and Quentin started soccer. Cameron plays every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It's an exhausting. Thankfully it's only for 1 month. Quentin has practice a couple times a week and plays games on Sundays. I love watching the boys play soccer, so their is a lot of pictures. Cameron was very animated and I often found other parents laughing at him. He also taunted kids on the other team. One game, he kept playing with a girls hair. Another game he was keeping track of # of goals(although not the right #) and would count very loudly on his fingers and then make sure the other team saw how man goals his team had. He was quite entertaining.

While Cam played soccer, Ben and Quentin would play on soccer or chase on another field near by.

Trash talking!
This was the team picture. The coaches daughter was not having it.

These 4 played against each other and are all in the same class this year. I hear they're a lot of fun. haha.

And a quick video that sums up Cams soccer -

On to Quentin's soccer - His games were intense. I found it hard to not yell, so took a lot less pictures.  Jeremy asked Quentin if he prefer I not yell during his games and he said yes. So the next game I tried really hard not to yell. Afterwards, Jeremy asked Quentin if it was better and Quentin said, "good thing you put a sock in it." Not sure where he heard that from, but it was pretty funny.

We took in a another Iowa game. This time, I had to purchase tickets and we all went. I'm hoping we can take in at least 1 game a year. The kids had a blast. I think Ben had the most fun. He was often dancing and loved doing the I - O - W - A when the hawks scored. The new wave is even better in person than it is on TV. We were on the side of the hospital and could actually see the kids and parents from our seats. I didn't realize it was wear gold.. so we failed! But we still had fun!

The wave!

Cameron fell off his bed about 10pm one night. I heard a big thump and then some crying. I ran into his room and picked him up. As I went to put him back in his bed and make sure he was okay, I noticed blood on his hand. So I brought him out to the living room to see what was bleeding. He some how managed to put a big gash in his eyebrow. Of course school pictures were the next day. After we got it stop bleeding, he went back to bed just fine. He made it to pictures at school the next day. He wanted to wear the bandaid but his teacher convinced him to take it off and he could put a new on afterwards.  At work, I asked a nurse if she thought he needed stitches and she did. :( So Jeremy picked up Cam after lunch and took him to the doctor. Luckily, he just needed a little glue.

Happy Birthday Logan - We headed to my parents for Logan's birthday dinner.

Happy Birthday to me - My neighbor and I have the same birthday so this year we decided to get the Big Yellow Bike and ride through downtown going bar to bar. It was a lot of fun, but you can't drink on the bike and it was weird having to pedal one direction but be moving the opposite direction.

I ended the month with Sarah and Carrie at Board and Brush - a place where you make your own sign. And I really had no idea what we signed up for, as far as how much work we'd actually have to do. but, they only provide the supplies - you do the rest, including the staining. It was a lot of fun. Sarah needed the helper at our table to help her a lot. :)

I haven't found a good place to hang my sign yet..

Quentin has a penpal - I joined a group on Facebook called moms of 3 boys. A lady in the group organized it by ages of kids. Quentin has loved getting mail but is a little slow to write Jack back.

Other pictures from the month..
