October 2017

We started the month with MORE SOCCER! Cam is done, but Quentin goes until the first weekend in Nov -BRRR! I like games at home field because Cam and Ben can play at the playground and it's within watching distance from the field.

Uncle Jerry made it to town for a few days. We went to Grandma GG's to visit him. The kids play in her basement and mom found this figure decapitated. I brought it home and fixed it. :)

Jeremy I celebrated 12 years of marriage on the 8th - That went fast!

The kids had conferences - In the past, I felt like we were really rushed to get from one classroom to the next. Ben is in a different school than Cam and Quentin so that was always even more rushed. Then you have the parents before you that go over.. so I scheduled this years conferences with a little spare time.. apparently it was so much spare time, we had plenty of time to play at the playgrounds between teachers.

All conferences went well. All the kids are doing good. Quentin gets distracted and doesn't focus, however, so far, it's not causing any problems with his work or bothering his peers.. and I guess if it ever does, we'll worry about it then. Until then, it went in one year and out the other. Cameron has improved the most, I feel. School only started a couple months ago, but already he can write his name better, knows his letters/numbers better and really likes school. Ben is ahead of schedule - which I attribute to having older brothers. Quentin is always counting something, asking how to spell something etc. and Ben latches on it.

Quentin's class took a field trip to Living History Farms.

Quentin with friend, Cash

Afterwards we went to Baskin Robbins for some ice cream - which was much needed for me. I don't have patience for 'looking back in history'

All 3 kids went to the dentist. They did great! Quentin got a sealant on his teeth so he was in another room. Cameron has a cavity and needed a cap on one of his tooth - so he goes back in a couple weeks for that.

Pumpkin patch fun! We hit up the pumpkin patch by our house. It's pretty small compared to like Center Grove. But it's also free, with the exception of buying pumpkins/gourds etc. They also charge for a train ride and another ride thing that was more for babies. I did notice a sign that they will be charging $3 per person next year. Still worth it to me. We didn't actually buy the pumpkins from there as I had already bought some. But, next year, we will. They don't weigh them and have set amounts based on size.

We hit up Grays lake park. It was a rather cool day and no one was there, so that was really nice. The kids liked going down by the beach area.

All 3 kids started swim lessons. And they all love it!

Happy Halloween - Quentin is Shredder, Cam is a Ninja and Ben is the skeleton. Ben originally wanted to be Poppy from Trolls, and him and Jeremy looked at the costumes but Ben didn't want to wear a dress, "Thats Gross" he said. Of course Beggars night was cold and windy. We barely lasted an hour. And I'm a little sad as this was the first year we didn't make it Bass Pro Shop. :(

We also dressed up at work. I was the purple ninja turtle.. Whatever his name is.

Other pictures from the month.. and the end has a couple video's too, so we'll see how those work out.

Ben was a stinker - I had boiled some eggs earlier this morning and they were cool by now, but he thought he'd help me out by adding a whole dozen to the boiled ones. I ended up cracking them all open and scrambling the ones with some breakfast sausage, peppers and onions and ate them throughout the week. It actually worked out pretty good.

On to November
