HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY, QUENTIN!!

Quentin's birthday was on July 2nd. It was a big one.. He turned 5 years old... and it's so hard to believe it's been that long since Jeremy and I became parents for the first time.

Jeremy and I decided to have a bigger party every 5 years.. so 5th and 10th birthday (I imagine birthday parties will change once they're 15. ha!), and to still keep them simple.

First things first - Mail invitations for birthday party - Quentin decided he wanted a bowling party. I found some cute invites on Etsy, and they weren't any more expensive than ones you'd write out yourself from a party store. Hard to pass that up.

I ran to the post office, and he rode his bike with me. It's just a hair less than a mile from our house.

After a quick break along the way, we made it.

Next up - Miniature golfing with Grandpa! Out of the 3 of us, Quentin was the only one to get a hole in one.

Presents!

It's a big pen. Quentin loves to write
with it.

The one thing he kept saying he wanted.. this godzilla thing, with a blue tongue that comes out and roars.

We started a new tradition - we do all birthdays at Hickory Park. Jeremy and I love this place.  The drive isn't bad from our house, the food is good, fairly cheap and service is always quick. Bonus - the kids get free ice cream with kids meal.. double bonus, Cam doesn't like ice cream so I get to eat his. ha!

That Sunday we were off to my mom and dads for Quentin, Annette and Dads birthday dinner. We made homemade Pizza's.

KaVon changed his first diaper.

Quentin got the a fart machine toy and said, "it's just what I
always wanted."
The hulk mask and gloves made the
rounds, even grandma GG tried it on

Party Time!! Quentin asked everyday for 2 weeks straight if today was his party day. The day finally came. We went to Premiere bowling in Pleasant Hill. It was perfect, and the pizza is actually good, which was one of my requirements. And I felt everything was reasonably priced. The people working there were super helpful and everything went smooth.

Party favors - Bowling pin shaped water bottles that had bowling
themed snap bracelets and tattoo's inside them. We also
had medals for all the kids. I really wanted patches, but
couldn't find any.

Transformers cake - because thats what the birthday boy wanted.

Quentin received all kinds of new toys and games(another reason we are only doing these types of parties every 5 years). He thought it was the best birthday party ever!

The bowling alley gives the birthday boy a bowling pin for everyone to sign.

We had Quentin's doctors appointment on the 20th. We'd talked about him getting shots all month long, so he was prepared, but a little scared. He did great though and only cried a minute or so for the 3 shots. He's doing great, weighed in at 40.4 pounds (45%) and is 44.75 inches tall (81%). His blood pressure was 92/63.

For his 3 year appointment, Dr Schute threw
me off, and asked if Quentin could jump
on one foot. So, before she came in, I had
Quentin practice jumping jacks.

And that completes the 5th birthday.
