July!!

First up - Quentin got a card in the mail from GG - He loves getting mail. Even better that it had money in it. He's planned to either save his $ for a toy or to buy ice cream from the ice cream truck.

Happy 6th birthday, Quentin!!! We headed to Lake Redrock for day camping with Dianna and Eric. It started out as a rainy day but eventually cleared and was perfect.

All the kids fell asleep on the way there.

They attempted to watch a movie until the
rain stopped.

Took a little stroll and Dianna got us lost!

Quentin opened presents - Hooray, a Power Rangers
sword.

We caught Logan trying to sneak adult beverages.

We did sparklers

And ran round in diapers.. because
he and his clothes got too wet and muddy
The following morning, Quentin opened presents from us. And, yet, ANOTHER Power Rangers sword.. not sure what he's going to do with all these swords.

We headed to Grandma Nancy's for dinner, playtime and to watch the Prairie Meadows fireworks. Quentin received all kinds of bug catching stuff from Grandma Nancy, which he was pretty excited about.

Ben was happy as can be before the fireworks started. After the first one, he ran to me, crawled up on my lap, covered his ears and eventually fell asleep.

Happy 4th of July - since we saw fireworks on the 3rd, dad was out of town for his birthday, we hung around the house.

On Tuesday,  Jeremy and I had the day off, so we decided to take Quentin and Cameron to see Finding Dory. We only made 3 trips to the bathroom. And, bonus, movies are cheaper all day long at the new Altoona theater on Tuesdays.

Cam had his first Tot ball game. He did all as expected; hit the ball, not pay attention, played in the dirt, but loved it.

Bondurant had a sidwalk chalk fest? I wasn't really sure what it was about, so we decided to walk there and check it out.  People could sign up and draw something with chalk, and then others voted on it. One of the neighbor girls drew something, so voted for hers. It also happened to be Jazz in July.. so I was not prepared for all the people. Cameron dresses as Batman wherever he goes, he drew a lot of smiles that day.

Happy Birthday Annette, Can't remember what she chose for her dinner and I took no pictures. Quentin and Cameron also went to a birthday party for Ethan, one of the neighbor boys. They did mini golf and talked about it for weeks afterwards.

My work did a company outing at Jasper Winery. We closed the office for the afternoon and we went to the winery for some games and a couple drinks. It was a lot of fun.

We had a free day so we decided to take lunch to the park. We headed to Thomas Mitchell park. They recently got a new playground and it's really nice.

That night, we set the big screen up and played original NES.. I can't wait for the mini to come out this winter.

Dad and I did our annual father/daughter golf tournament with Herb and Bobbie. It's always fun. I think Dad only had to hit from behind a tree once.. As did I. I blame my clubs for my game, which I was told I needed new ones. But then I wouldn't have an excuse, so I'm sticking to the old ones.

The neighbors got the slip-n-slide out. The kids had a blast. Ben tried it at the beginning, but didn't like it with all the kids. He tried it again once all the other kids were done and the water was shut off.. it seemed to be a bit more his pace then.

Happy Birthday, Nancy - Nancy wanted me to make meatloaf for her birthday, so thats just what we did.

I took Quentin and Cameron to Jester park playscape. It was pretty crowded for a Monday, so we didn't stay long. We did manage to drive around enough to see the Bison.

My friend Haley and I headed to the Italian Fest. As usual, it was fun. Of course we ran into a few people we know.

Jeremy started a project - making his own bags game.

Other pictures from the month..

My garden is in full swing. I'm loving the zucchini and cherry tomatoes. I think I got the wrong kind of cucumbers because they're not very good.

Noah's has pepper rings. They're like onion rings, but with peppers instead.. SO GOOD!!!

You never know how you'll find Cameron. I told him to get in his pajamas after bath, and this is far as he made it before he fell asleep.

Jeremy added an antenna to the cooler radio that he made.. and apparently, it needs a car size battery? Some things I'll never understand, but I'm glad he does.

Frodo is such a good dog. Although his hair drives me crazy, I'll be very sad the day he's no longer with us.

Lastly, our family picture this month..
