January

January was pretty uneventful. We started the month off with an Iowa loss - The Rose Bowl wasn't very fun to watch but at least Iowa made it to a bowl game.. unlike the Cyclones.

The only other thing that happened this month was Cameron foot saga. Towards the end of the month, Cameron decided he didn't want to walk. For those keeping track, this is the 2nd time he's done this. Cameron kept saying he didn't hurt his foot, so after a full day of him refusing to walk, I made a dr.'s appointment. He would crawl and asked to be carried everywhere. We did x-rays at the dr.'s office, but they didn't show anything. Since this was the 2nd time he'd done something like this, Dr Schutte thought it would be best to refer him to an orthopedic doctor.

We saw Dr Lindeman the next day, Friday, and Cameron was still refusing to walk. You could see some light bruising on his foot by now.  Dr Lindaman didn't really know what to make of it. Cameron wouldn't let anyone touch it, claimed it hurt his foot.  So to rule out any infection, we did blood work. Cameron tolerated that better than he did x-rays. And afterwards, I told Cameron that his blood draw gave him super powers. I thought maybe, just maybe, he'd realize he could walk. But, no. He immediately fell and started crying, yelling at me that I lied to him. :(

The following Monday, we had a follow up. All the blood work came back normal. Cameron was starting to put light pressure on his foot, and would let us touch it now. You could also see the bruising even more. Dr Lindaman wanted us to come back in a week and we'd do more blood work. He mentioned one thing he didn't test was his ANA, which tests for rheumatoid arthritis. Since I could see bruising, I didn't think that was necessary, so we didn't do that f/up appointment. Cameron got better each day and he's finally back to walking after a couple of weeks.

Yes, I had to carry him and his cape EVERYWHERE

Other pictures from the month..

When you don't want the bottle rattling in
the cart..

We ventured to the Y for some swimming.

I tried making spaghetti squash. .. I think I did it wrong..
it was crunchy. Eww!

Ben got stuck in the toilet.. not once,
but twice in the same day.

Ben started a new thing. He raises his hand when you say
his name.

Ben loves to eat!!

Quentin got Student of the week.

The video games come out when it's cold outside

I ordered some canvas' of the pictures we had taken in the fall.
They finally came in.. now to get Jeremy to hang them..
Thats all for now.. We're suppose to have some hot and rainy days ahead, so hopefully that means I can get somewhat caught up on the blog.
