As we left the house, he thought I was driving him to the bus stop and he was going to ride the bus like Quentin does. When I passed the bus stop, he quickly reminded me that I'd gone too far. He was a little sad that he doesn't ride the bus, but that quickly passed as we got closer to school.
We've talked a lot about pre-school these last few weeks, but I don't think it really sunk in until it happened today. Once we got there, he didn't want to leave my side. He didn't want any pictures taken, not even with the neighbor boys.
I walked him into his classroom, we hung up his backpack, washed his hands and found his table, which had some crayons and a paper to color. He didn't really hesitate doing any of that. So, I snuck out as he was coloring.
I thought for sure, he'd start crying once he realized I was gone.. but, Ms Rita - one of the associates said he did great, and didn't cry at all. I also expected him to come out in different clothes than what I had brought him in.. thinking he'd have an accident.. but, that didn't happen either.
He was excited to see me when I picked him up and said he had fun playing with his friends.
Day 1 = Success. Hopefully it doesn't go downhill from here.

| He didn't want to wear his name tag, so Miss Maggie put it on his back. He tried taking that off too, but couldn't reach. |
Day one must have been pretty exhausting. It didn't help that I had taken the day off, and he did errands with me much of the day. I tried several times to get him to take a nap this morning, and he had almost fallen asleep one time, but caught himself.
