Another Catch-Up Post!!

We had a busy August and I'm looking forward to a low key September, with lots of football watching.

We headed to Grandma GG's for our August Birthdays and brunch - Julian and my mom. I can't believe Julian is EIGHT!!! Huge thanks to my grandma for having us all over. I know cooking for us isn't an easy task.

Happy Labor Day!! Quentin and I headed to Chicago with Carrie and Stella over the holiday weekend. We didn't have much planned, except the annual "Dylan goes to Wrigley Field" game. We had a ton of fun and the kiddo's were great little travelers. We didn't get to visit with cousins as much as we wanted, but it was great to see Heather and Alex at the game. We definitely need to go back without kids.. Soon!

Quentin joined some guys in the back row. They were so
nice to him.

Ipads were a staple at bed time. Monsters Inc was watched
several times.

Breakfast at Dunkin Donuts.
On Sunday we met up with others to mini golf. The mini golf wasn't open yet, so we played in the park instead. It was great to wear the kids out before the long car ride home.

On the way home, we had several stops (I think Q mastered the "I have to go potty" thing when he ws tired of being in his car seat). One of them was the outlet mall at Williamsburg. It wasn't very busy, so Q got to run from store to store.. it was a great way to release some energy.

We finally made it home with daylight to spare. Next time, Jeremy and Cameron will come.

September 2nd - Huge Happy Anniversary to my parents. They've survived 36 years!

This past Friday night was Quentin's first go at soccer. We signed him up months ago, and I've been looking forward to it ever since. There were a ton of kids, so I thought he'd be a little overwhelmed, and he was at first. But, once he got the ball and started kicking it, he didn't want to stop.

Making friends with the coach

I can't get over how old he looks in this picture, and how
bad he needs a haircut!

They went around the circle and told their names. Quentin
said his full name, and the coach didn't hear the first
part, so he kept calling him James. It was quit funny.
The neighbor guy put together a little fishing derby at the pond near his work. So, Saturday morning, along with all the other neighbors, we headed to Ames for a little fishing. It was a lot of fun, despite the lack of fish.  Jeremy and Quentin actually caught the first fish.

Saturday night, we had outdoor movie night at our house. All the neighbors came over, and we watched Wreck It Ralph on the big screen. It was a ton of fun and I can't wait to do it again.

Other random pictures from the month -

Our garden has life.. Lots of life. I pick about 4 tomatoes
DAILY!! I may have planted a few too many tomato plants.

Cameron loves his pasta!! ..and cottage cheese.
Quentin and Cameron have really started to play together these last couple weeks. It's so funny to watch and I love hearing them laughing at each other.

Who knew a piece of ribbon could be so fun? Q was dragging Cam with it, and Cam was laughing so hard, he couldn't hang on to it.

Poor Cameron's eye - It's matted shut or mostly shut
most mornings. We have an appointment at the end of the
month to see whats going on with it.

Helping Daddy get the big screen ready

Cameron loves the pantry and bolts for it every time it opens

daily chores!
